Child Safety Standards
Laume has a zero-tolerance policy toward child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE).
Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to create a Laume account. The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If we become aware of such an account, we remove it immediately.
Prevention by product design
The app never accesses the device camera directly; photos are chosen only through the operating system's own picker. Laume has no open-ended direct-message inbox between users; interaction happens through public or moderated letter/comment surfaces. Location is foreground-only, and a letter's exact location is revealed only once someone has physically approached it.
Reporting and moderation
Every letter and comment can be reported in the app, and any user can be blocked. Content that receives a certain number of reports is automatically hidden until reviewed. Content suspected of CSAE is handled as priority and urgent: the content and account are removed/suspended immediately and reported to the relevant authorities as required by applicable law.
How to report a concern
If you encounter content or behaviour you suspect is CSAE, use the in-app "Report" feature, or write to destek@laumeapp.com with "CSAE / Child Safety" in the subject line. First response is within 24 hours.
